The protection of your privacy is of particular importance to the SAA, as is the handling of your data during your visit to the SAA website. The privacy statement, questions and answers herein set out how the SAA handles personal data, what information the SAA collects and analyses, and how it is both used and managed. In doing so, the SAA ensures compliance with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) of 25 September 2020, which came into force on 1 September 2023.
In principle, the SAA website can be accessed without disclosing personal details. Your visit to the SAA website is logged, whereby only the following access data is recorded for anonymous statistical surveys: The IP address currently used by your computer, the name of the page accessed, the date and time of the access, the amount of data transferred, the message as to whether the access was successful, the description of the type of web browser used, the operating system used, the internet browser used, the number of visits, the average time spent on the site, the pages accessed. No personal user profiles can be obtained from the aforementioned access data; accordingly, it is generally not possible for us to establish a personal reference. With the help of the secured information, the attractiveness of the SAA website is determined and its content optimised.
No personal data will be automatically collected, processed or used on the SAA website without your consent, although the SAA does require information from you in individual cases. If you decide to express your interest and provide us with your personal data, namely your name, address or e-mail address for the purpose of contacting you, we will not use this data for any other purpose.
